This San Rafael yard had become an overgrown mess. However, during our walkthrough we quickly saw its’ potential. After clearing out all brush we installed finished concrete stepping stone slabs to clearly establish a path from the side of the home to the backyard. A warm perimeter was developed through our use of horizontal cedar fencing and the installation of a retaining wall. An ipe deck was constructed off of the sliding glass door to provide an inviting entry to the backyard. A decomposed granite patio was used as ground cover for a BBQ grill that we wrapped in a cedar bar to provide separation between cooking and eating spaces. With the installation of a hot tub and a yard filled with natural grass, the transformation of this yard is something of which we are very proud.
